Founded in 1936 by Curtis B Johnson, former owner and publisher of the Charlotte Observer, the camp offers water and land activities such as skiing, sailing, kayak/canoeing, horseback riding, rope courses, sports and crafts for the young people of the area. The Bluff Villas condominiums, built in 1973, consist of 129 units spread over 28 acres of mature trees and landscaping with it’s own pool and amenities.
