A commute into metro Charlotte is about a 45-minute drive from the neighborhood without traffic. If work takes you to the Ballantyne area then that is about 18 miles (30 minutes) from Water Edge. Central Rock Hill is about 8 miles south of the neighborhood.

Life in Water Edge, like any Lake Wylie waterfront community, revolves around lake life, especially in the summer. Adjacent Ebenezer Park has boat ramp access, and Lake Club Marina offers boat slip rentals for owners without direct water access. Westminster Park is 5 minutes away and has walking trails, athletic fields and more open green space to enjoy.

Water Edge has a pool and clubhouse for residents to use, both of which overlook Lake Wylie.

Water Edge offers water view, waterfront and interior home lots. The highly desirable neighborhood does not have much turnover, and its waterfront homes go quickly!

Home prices for interior lots average around $400,000s to $500,000s. Home sizes start around 2,200 square feet and exceed 4,000 square feet.

Only 4 homes sold in Water Edge during the last 12 months for an average sales price of $415,000 and $122 per square foot. Sales price average nearly full list price. One of the homes sold in 2015 closed at 1% over list price.

There are only 2 homes for sale in Water Edge currently, and 1 is under contract as of April 24. There are new construction homes that were recently completed in Water Edge, but both homes listed were built when the neighborhood was started in the early 2000s.

The neighborhood is zoned for York County’s Mount Gallant Elementary School, Dutchman Creek Middle School and Northwestern High School. Both the elementary and middle schools are less than a mile from Water Edge!
