If you think lake living is out of your reach, think again. The highly desirable neighborhood of Boatshore has affordable single-family homes on Lake Wylie. This great location has a Rock Hill address and schools with lower South Carolina taxes. What’s not to love?

You enter the neighborhood from Mt Gallant Road between Museum Road and India Hook Road. This location is convenient to the Rock Hill/York County Airport. There is easy access to I-77 for a quick trip to Charlotte Douglas International Airport or Uptown Charlotte. There is great shopping and dining close by as well.

Streets in Boatshore are all named for different species of butterflies. This nature theme extends to the wooded rear lots and to Ebenezer Park which is walking distance away and features campsites, public boat ramp, swimming beach, picnic shelter, playground, and ranger station. There is no direct lake access from the neighborhood so the park is the nearest access. There is also Marine storage for your boat just down the road.

Boatshore has 72 lots and five cul-de-sacs making a quiet and intimate neighborhood. Homes were built between 2004 and 2005 and are typically between 1,100 and 1,400 square feet in size. Open floor plans are common and most homes have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Many of the homes have outdoor living areas including decks, patios, fire pits, porches and more.

Children in Boatshore currently attend Mt. Gallant Elementary School, Dutchman Creek Middle School, and Northwestern High School. Please verify school assignments as they can change from one school year to the next and zoning boundaries can occasionally run through a neighborhood.

In the past year seven homes in Boatshore have sold for an average price of $187,671. The price range over that same time period was $172,500 – $204,900. These homes are great for singles, families, and are great for downsizing. Boatshore is definitely worth a look.
