To find Beckett Cove, travel south on Tryon Street until Youngblood Road. Take a left on Youngblood, then take a left on Zoar Road. The neighborhood will be on your right. From Beckett Cove it is a quick drive to get groceries, see a movie, or head out to dinner. Local schools are less than two miles away in Palisades Park. There is also nearby highway access to I-77 at Gold Hill Road.

Homes in Beckett Cove have open concepts with flexible spaces. They are the perfect size for any family, with options to change as you grow. To find McKee Ridge, come towards Lake Wylie on Youngblood Road, and the neighborhood will be on your left before you get to Palisades Country Club. This location is close to Arrowood Station so you can park your car and ride the light rail into Uptown Charlotte. Rivergate is nearby for shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

Knotts Builders, local to the Charlotte area, were the developers on McKee Ridge. Their other projects have included Brookline and Hawk Haven. The homes they built have between 2,300 to 4,050 square feet with 4 or 5 bedrooms, and between 2.5 and 4.5 bathrooms. Many of these homes have home offices, guest suites, sumptuous primary suites, gourmet kitchens, and all of the extras.

In the past year, just three homes sold in McKee Ridge showing that owners just aren’t ready to leave these beauties. The Palisades is located on the North Carolina side of Lake Wylie. There are many options nearby for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Rivergate is nearby as well with many more options.

Within the neighborhood, there are amazing amenities. You will feel like you live in a resort with a clubhouse, equestrian facilities, equestrian trails, fitness center, golf course, playground, pool, recreation area, security, sidewalks, street lights, tennis courts, and walking trails. The Palisades Country Club is in the neighborhood as well with opportunities for residents to join for a fee.

The neighborhood is so large, in fact, that there is an elementary school within the borders. Palisades Park Elementary is the school for many of the children who live in and around the community. There are also many private school options, as well as daycare centers close by for younger children.

Homes in The Palisades range from 4 bedroom 3 bathroom with just over 2,500 square feet all the way to 6 bedroom, 5 full bath, 3 half-bath with over 7,000 square feet. This diversity in homes leads to a diversity of prices as well. Smaller homes start in the mid-$400,000’s while the larger homes sell for upwards of $1.5 million. In the past year, 130 homes sold in the neighborhood and there are currently 26 homes for sale with another one coming soon. Riverpointe is located just to the east of the Buster Boyd Bridge. This great location is perfect for joining in community events in Lake Wylie, and is also close to shopping, dining, and entertainment in Rivergate. Just past Rivergate, you can connect to highway access on I-485 or I-77 connecting you with all points around Charlotte.

Homes in Riverpointe were built between 1989 and 2023 by a variety of custom builders. The almost 200 homes have large lots, and plenty of square footage for home offices, open floor plans, gourmet kitchens, and much more. Many of these homes have been updated, added on to, or completely refreshed inside and outside since they were built. Most have full brick or stucco exteriors, 2 or 3 car garages, soaring ceilings, extensive trim work, custom closets, sunrooms, decks and terracing.

Two of the three are over 5,000 square feet so are listed for more than $900,000. The other is slightly smaller and is listed for $775,000.

Crescent Land and Timber is located just off Shopton Road 9 minutes away from shopping at Rivergate including groceries, restaurants, and personal services. Highway access is convenient for a morning commute, and public lake access is nearby as well. Many of these homes have private lake access with docks, piers, or boat houses.

Located off Smith Road, Chateau is walking distance to River Gate Elementary school. This family friendly neighborhood features resort style amenities including a clubhouse, swimming pool with splash zone for smaller children. There are tennis courts, and sidewalks connecting to walking trails perfect for a morning run, dog walk, or bike ride. River Lake is tucked away from the main channel of Lake Wylie so it is not as busy. It is close to Catawba Park, Catawba Soccer Ground, and the Lake Wylie Dam with river access. Residents can easily access shopping and dining options, as well as get quickly to the highway for a commute or just a trip into the city.

The community has few amenities, but there are sidewalks, and the streets are lit. You can go into Fort Mill for any of the amenities you are lacking from not being in a large development, and with the money you save from not having a homeowner’s association, you can join anywhere else you like, or just save that money.

Homes in River Lake were built between 1996 and 2020 and are all brick custom homes. Many of the homes have great views of the lake from multiple rooms, and outdoor living spaces to enjoy the view.

In the past year, just one home sold in River Lake. It was a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath home with a 3 car garage and 2,763 square feet. It sold after just 12 days on the market. There is currently one home listed for sale in River Lake. It is a waterfront premium lot with 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a 3 car garage, and 6,261 square feet. Interior homes would not command the premium of a waterfront lot, but we don’t have the data to be sure in this amazing neighborhood.
